Kids Dig It! Medieval Family Fun Week

Rediscover the history, culture and arts of the Medieval period at the Abbey Museum these Winter school holidays! Kids Dig It! returns June 29th – July 1st with Medieval Family Fun. Enjoy hands on, educational activities with the whole family! Suited for ages 5 – 12 years.

Kids can:

• Practise with a bow & arrow, guided by our Archery team
• Design your own hand-painted shield inspired by Medieval Heraldry
• Uncover artefacts in the Archaeological Dig
• Discover the world of medieval Knights, Weaponry and Armour with hands-on workshop featuring armour, chainmail and weapons to feel and try on!
• Enjoy games, quizzes and more inside the Museum

You can now book all 4 Scheduled Activities (Archery, Dig, Crafts & Workshop), for all participants in your group, in only 1 click of the button!

Simply select Activity Group of choice -now named Time Travellers, History Hunters, Ancient Explorers or Junior Archaeologists to book a complete schedule of activities for the day (MUST be booked in the EXTRAS section). See the image below for the scheduling details of each Activity Group

Note: History Hunters and Time Travellers groups are most suitable for children with diverse needs, with high focus activities in the morning and flexible at-your-own-pace afternoon activities.

Thinking of visiting the Cafe – History Hunters and Junior Archaeologists both have a slightly longer 1 hour lunch.
