Abbey Museum Ticket Booking Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a ticket to the Abbey Museum, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. School Group Visits and Guided Tours
The Abbey Museum partners with schools and education facilities to deliver engaging education programs.

Please note: Your visit may coincide with:
School group tours or educational activities, during which the Museum may experience higher-than-usual visitor traffic.
Guided tours of the Museum, Art Gallery, and Stained Glass in the Abbey Church.

2. Photography and Media Policy
By entering the Abbey Museum, visitors consent to photography, filming, or recording on the premises for promotional, educational, or archival purposes by official representatives or staff of the Abbey Museum.
Photography or filming of children is not permitted without the explicit authorisation of the child’s carer.
If you have concerns about being photographed or recorded, please inform a staff member upon arrival.

3. Ticketing Policy
Tickets are non-refundable but transferable. If you are unable to attend on your selected date, please contact the Museum to reschedule your visit.
The Museum reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events and will provide notification as soon as possible in such instances.
Church Tours may be cancelled at short notice as the Church is a working church, due to Church priorities e.g., funerals.

4. Museum Etiquette
To preserve the integrity of the Museum and its exhibits, and to ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:

Food and Drink: No food or beverages, including water, are permitted inside the Museum or Art Gallery, except in the designated Café area.
Handling Exhibits: Please do not touch any exhibits or artworks.
Supervision of Children: Children under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times by their parent, carer, or a responsible adult.
Conduct: No running is permitted inside the Museum or Art Gallery.

5. Security and Prohibited Items
Large bags or suitcases are not permitted inside the Museum.
All bags are subject to inspection upon entry.
Umbrellas: Non-foldable umbrellas must be left outside. Small umbrellas must be kept in a waterproof bag on your person.

Prohibited Items: The following items are not allowed in the Abbey Museum:
• Large luggage items.
• Animals, except Guide Dogs assistance animals accredited under relevant laws or by recognised training organisations.
• Real or toy weapons, firearms, or other items or substances deemed dangerous by Museum Security.
• Aerosol containers, laser pointers, balloons, and drones.
• Any item considered capable of causing damage to the Museum’s collections or being used to conceal collection objects for removal.
• Professional Photography or flash photography without expressed consent in advance from the Abbey Museum.

6. Health and Safety
The Museum is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all visitors and staff. Please follow any instructions provided by Museum staff during your visit.
In the event of an emergency, follow the directions of staff and evacuate the premises as instructed.

7. General Admission
Entry to the Abbey Museum is conditional upon compliance with these terms and conditions, as well as any policies displayed or communicated at the Museum.

Visitors who fail to adhere to these guidelines may be asked to leave the premises without a refund.
