Disability and Inclusion Action Plan
The Abbey Museum is proud to demonstrate our commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
We have developed a Disability and Inclusion Action Plan to ensure all guests, staff, volunteers and students are able to enjoy the Museum’s experiences.

Museum entrance featuring zebra crossing and flat entrance
An accessible carpark is located outside the Museum with easy flat access to the entrance.
Museum exhibition entry with seating for viewing video demonstration
Bench seating is located throughout the Museum for rest and reflection.
Public toilet 1 with handrail for access
Wide toilet 2 with clearance for wheelchair access and handrails
Front Desk reception and cafe area with pillar and fridge next to counter

The Abbey Shop features gifts on shelving and racks
Please note, a social story was created prior to construction of our new building. With the new Gallery and Cafe, there are some changes which have been updated for greater accuracy in early 2025.
