Lyndon Davis Fish Traps Sandstone Point

Join Kabi Kabi Artist and local educator Lyndon Davis for an afternoon walk on Country along the Sandstone Point foreshore. Visiting ancient sites of great cultural significance. Lyndon will share local Indigenous stories and Kabi Kabi language with identity and history of the region.

The tour will include Bush Tucker / native plant identification while walking to the Sandstone Point Fish Traps, where participants will hear stories of the traditional hunting practices.

Please note this activity requires a moderate level of fitness, and due to its outdoor location will not be suitable for patrons with accessibility needs.

Tickets $12 Adult | $8 Child (5-12 yrs, must be accompanied by adult under supervision)

Meet 1pm Oxley Place, Sandstone Point (see maps below)

WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY All sites and parks visited are maintained by City of Moreton Bay. All walking tracks are in good state / condition HOWEVER, ROCKS ALONG WATERFRONT BECOME SLIPPERY > CAUTION CARE MUST BE TAKEN AT ALL TIMES Closed in comfortable NON-SLIP walking shoes are recommended Please bring your own clean drinking water. All attendees should be aware of the importance of culturally significant sites, respecting and following cultural protocols while visiting these sacred areas.
