The Abbey Museum is open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
The Museum is open all school and public holidays except Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Anzac Day morning.

Guided tours of the Abbey Church
See the fabulous medieval stained glass in the Abbey Church adjacent to the Museum. Guided church tours are available at 11am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, staff and availability permitting. Groups can be booked at other times. To ensure the availability of a guide, all tours must be pre-booked.
Group and school excursions
The Abbey Museum offers a range of education programs for both primary and secondary schools and any size tour group. Our programs are fun for students, tourists, and people of all ages. Each program or tour can be tailored to suit the needs of your group.

Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology is located at Caboolture on the way to Bribie Island.
By car from Brisbane
Take the Bribie Island Road exit 152a off the Bruce Highway. Turn left into Old Toorbul Point Road, 5km from the overpass. Turn first right into The Abbey Place.
By car from the Sunshine Coast
From the Sunshine Coast, take the Toorbul-Donnybrook exit 157, turn left onto Pumicestone Rd and then turn right into McGarry Road (was New Toorbul Point Road) approximately 500 metres from the turn-off. Follow the road for 4km and turn left into The Abbey Place.

By train to Caboolture Station
From Brisbane: Take the Caboolture Line or Sunshine Coast Line to the Caboolture railway station.

Bus Route No: 640 (stops at Bribie Island Rd at Old Toorbul Point Road). NB: path from Bribie Island Rd does not extend all the way to the Abbey Museum (path is not disability friendly).
