This year’s St. Roch celebration was nothing short of a howling success, with 18 enthusiastic dogs joining in on the fun. The weather couldn’t have been more purrfect, setting the tone for a day filled with joy and camaraderie.

Fr George’s special blessing of the medallions and the dogs kicked off the event and it was a touching moment which brought everyone together in a shared spirit of love and care for our furry companions.

Serenity Café delighted our taste buds with their delicious offerings, while Richardson & Wrench Caboolture kept everyone refreshed with a nice selection of drinks and plenty of cool water. Our canine guests were not forgotten, thanks to Pet Stock Caboolture, who generously provided doggy treats that filled two lucky door prize gift baskets.

Tracey Dee was on hand to capture the magic of the day with her photography, ensuring the memories will be cherished long after the event. Scattered along the walking track were 12 fun facts about dogs, adding an educational twist to the pilgrimage and sparking many interesting conversations. Did you know 3 dogs survived the Titanic?

A special mention goes to Knight Commanders Abdullah Akram and Morgan Hammond, who attended the event in costume, adding a touch of medieval flair. Many attendees embraced the spirit of the occasion, donning traditional 14th-century attire to honour St. Roch, making it a truly immersive experience.

The day was a beautiful blend of tradition, community, and a shared love for our loyal companions.
