On Saturday 13th April, Bribie Island Community Arts Centre generously hosted a Medieval High Tea with Rosalie Gilbert, to support our fundraising efforts for the Art@Abbey campaign supported by Creative Australia through Plus1.
The event welcomed around 80 guests to their first official event in their new Cafe entertaining area, and guests were delighted with a presentation by medieval enthusiast Rosalie Gilbert on Medieval Women’s bathing and hygiene practices.
Through their generous support, the Abbey Museum received an incredible donation of $3545 towards our fundraising goals, for which we are incredibly grateful.
We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre, it’s wonderful volunteers who supported the event, and Rosalie Gilbert and her ‘ladies’ of the day.
