Take a journey with Author, Independent Researcher and History Enthusiast Rosalie Gilbert into the world of medieval dress accessories and discover behind the scenes information on how these amazing items were crafted! Learn about the techniques used in the Middle Ages by highly skilled craftsmen and reproduced by today’s artisans.

A rare “white glove experience” will allow you to carefully handle some original artifacts from The Gilbert Collection to examine the workmanship of the medieval world. High end reproductions will also be on display.

About the Presenter:

Rosalie Gilbert is passionate about living history, experimental archaeology and women in the Middle Ages, particularly England where her family origins are, and is a lifetime member of the Friends of the Abbey Museum of Art & Archaeology and a long-standing member of the Queensland Living History Federation.
