Donate To The Abbey Museum
The Abbey Museum is a registered charity with the Australian Tax Office.
All donations over $2 are fully tax-deductible for Australian citizens.
The Abbey Museum is a rare treasure house of world heritage. Your gift can help it grow and continue giving pleasure and knowledge to thousands of people.
Your gift can be used in a number of ways:
- By helping preserve the treasures already in the collections.
- By contributing to the building itself through an endowment fund or funds towards a new gallery.
- By donating works of art or antiquities from your own collection or providing funds for the purchase of new works of art.
‘KEEP OUR ARTEFACTS COOL’ CAMPAIGN (KOAC)
Ever feel you’re falling apart at the seams as the years roll on? Our artefacts do! The Abbey Museum has many artefacts in its collection that are extremely vulnerable to the changing weather conditions that we experience here in Queensland. Help us to preserve all the artefacts in our collection by donating $30 (tax deductible) dollars to the cost of air conditioning which will ensure that you and everyone who comes to the Museum will have the delight of seeing everything in its best possible condition.
STAINED GLASS WINDOW CONSERVATION CAMPAIGN
The Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology holds one of the most significant collection of medieval and Renaissance stained glass collections in Australia. Over the last 10 years the Museum has been raising funds for the conservation of this important collection. To date we have raised over $150,000 of the $163,000 required. We only need another $13,000 to complete this project. Please donate to the Abbey Museum and help us preserve these beautiful windows for the next 100 years.
HELP US BUILD AN ART GALLERY!
The Abbey Museum’s collection of Old Master paintings and International Arts represent arguably the most significant collection in Australia outside of the State Galleries. Currently there is nowhere to showcase this amazing collection and we are fundraising to build an Art Gallery extension to the archaeological gallery.
Email us at email@example.com if you would like further information on sponsoring or providing in-kind support for the Art Gallery.

Many of us have devoted a lot of time into building collections that we wish to see preserved for others to enjoy, or have had an item of cultural or historical significance come into our possession.
Every year the Abbey Museum receives donations of cultural objects for its collections. Among the wonderful items given to us is an 1870 penny-farthing bicycle, collection of early Medieval pottery; a magnificent illuminated Mughal Quran and a 15th century stained glass window. If you have an object or collection that you would like to donate to the Museum and are not sure whether it fits the Museum’s collections policy please contact us.
The Australian Government offers tax incentives for cultural gifts of antiquities and art objects over a certain value. Museum staff can advise you about the processes involved.
There is great satisfaction in gifting, knowing that your donation can be used to support the building fund, or endow a work of art that will carry your name and help educate thousands of people.
Please email us direct if you would like to discuss an object donation to firstname.lastname@example.org .
