- By contributing to the building itself through an endowment fund or funds towards a new gallery.
- By donating works of art or antiquities from your own collection or providing funds for the purchase of new works of art.
The Abbey Museum is a registered charity with the Australian Tax Office.
All donations over $2 are fully tax-deductible for Australian citizens.
Help us complete the conservation of our stained glass windows
The Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology holds one of the most significant collection of Medieval and Renaissance stained glass collections in Australia. Over the last 10 years the Museum has been raising funds for the conservation of this important collection. To date we have raised over $160,000 of the $163,000 required. We only need another $3,000 to conserve the one remaining window, The Donor King. Please donate to the Abbey Museum to help us preserve these beautiful windows for the next 100 years.
If you wish to donate by cheque: Post to Abbey Museum of Art & Archaeology, 1-63 Abbey Place, Caboolture QLD 4510
- For the Medieval Stained Glass Windows Project cheques to be made payable to ‘Abbey Stained Glass Conservation Fund’
Please remember to include a return mail address and any contact details with your preferences regarding your donation.

There is a great satisfaction in a bequest, knowing that your donation can be used to support the building fund or endow a work of art that will carry your name and help educate our visitors, to showcase our past cultures and to help instill a sense of wonder and awe of the human race and all its colours.

Many of us have devoted a lot of time into building collections that we wish to see preserved for others to enjoy, or have had an item of cultural or historical significance come into our possession.
Every year the Abbey Museum receives donations of cultural objects for its collections. Among the wonderful items given to us is an 1870 penny-farthing bicycle, a collection of early Medieval pottery; a magnificent illuminated Mughal Quran and a 15th century stained glass window. If you have an object or collection that you would like to donate to the Museum and are not sure whether it fits the Museum’s collections policy please contact us.
The Australian Government offers tax incentives for cultural gifts of antiquities and art objects over a certain value. Museum staff can advise you about the processes involved.
There is great satisfaction in gifting, knowing that your donation can be used to support the building fund, or endow a work of art that will carry your name and help educate thousands of people.
Please email us direct to email@example.com if you would like to discuss an object donation.
